Our president is still Black!
The inception of another presidential term begins in January 2013 for Mr. Obama. However, this American-born, military reared, Black has been inspired to reinvent myself today! Yesterday, it was a mere knee-jerk reaction to the shivers that ran down my spine as I watched CNN project Barack Obama's victory. Today, still recovering from the hangover of Obama's acceptance speech, I have had an opportunity to think. I came to the realization that my initial desire for change within myself was not borne of this great event, but more nurtured and fueled by an innate desire for better.
I am now at the point in my life where much has changed from my original postings and fate has managed to meander its way down the river of life leading me to the present. Unfortunately, my issue is I'm striving to follow this path into a prosperous future. Now, that I am back, I will continue to use this blog as a platform for social and educational purposes. Don't get me wrong, though. The education is expressly for myself, but if anyone finds some way to vicariously gain something from my experiences then, be my guest. All credit belongs to them for being honest enough with themselves to identify.
First on my agenda is to do some real soul searching and map out my life for the next four years. President Obama knows where he'll be; what about you?
